Tamara Barnes will utilize her extensive knowledge and experience to complete each repair. She uses archival materials, the required techniques and equipment, and employs the necessary knowledge of color and lighting to complete each repair.

She also specializes in the restoration of contemporary art. Today’s artists use many different and unique materials while expressing themselves versus the Master painters of the past. Tamara utilizes her years of experience with printing processes to restore prints, including giclees, Serio lithographs, and more, either with or without embellishments.

• Photo restoration and reprinting
• Cleaning – Removing dust, smoke, grease
• Removal of debris embedded in paint – After the removal of debris in or on the paint, the surface is recreated ensuring the texture, sheen and colors are matched to create an invisible repair.
• Re-stretch loose canvas – Eliminating waves and bowing.
• Edge lining of canvas – Often newer paintings are close cut along the stretcher bars especially if done by a machine. Edge relining allows the canvas to be re-stretched without losing up to a ½” around the edges therefore reducing the size of the visible painting when framed.
• Lining canvas – Reinforces deteriorating brittle canvas.
• Lining paper – Adhering inexpensive paper prints to archival paper to remove waves and stop deterioration.
• Repairing dents and tears in canvas.
• Repairing missing paint areass
• Scratch removal.
• Removal of creases, dents, folds and waves in paper.
• Removal of overprinting on paper with signed margins.
• Mixed media repairs – These repairs often require an extensive knowledge of a variety of new materials used by artists today. These repairs often require a transition over several surfaces and through different types of mediums.
